About

This is a site about illustration artist William Donahey (1883-1970), most famous for his Sunday comics characters, The Teenie Weenies.

Site content started in 2003 as a periodic newsletter emailed to a list of fans gleaned from the ranks of previous Donahey-related item eBay bidders. Therefore, please excuse the format of earlier postings, reposted here unchanged in the interest of completeness.

If you subscribe to the site at Posterous, you will automatically get emailed a copy of each issue soon after it is posted. Alternatively, you can send me your email address and I can add you to the mailing list, which accomplishes the same thing. Both Posterous and I are fanatical about respecting your privacy. (There is also an Unsubscribe button for stopping the Posterous subscription, or let me know and I promise to quickly and quietly remove you from the mailing list. I hate SPAM maybe even more than you do.)

Often, cyberspace can be a lonely place and what goes on the Internet, stays on the Internet. However, I actually do like to hear from fellow Teenie Weenie fans, and so I have provided many avenues of possible communication for you:

1. You can send me an email (choose the Contact navigation menu item).
2. You can enter a comment at the bottom of each issue, which can be seen by all.
3. You can make a public entry in the Guest Book, which can be seen by all.
4. You can make a private entry in the Guest Book, which only I can see.

If you have a question or a suggestion for an issue topic or site improvement, please let me know. Also, if you'd like a copy of a strip falling on or near a special day (birthday or anniversary for example), just ask and if I can deliver it electronically, it's always for free.

Speaking of that, while it does cost something to maintain the site's domain name, etc., it really doesn't amount to that much. However, enough people have asked (OK, hounded me) to make a donation that I've provided a Donate button for people who wish to do so.

Donations are totally not necessary, but still genuinely appreciated.

I am obviously not a business, but rather a private collector and as such, I am always willing to buy, sell, and trade material related to Donahey, especially Teenie Weenie material. Truly, no deal is too small or too large. Even if I don't need it, I'll be happy to give you my opinion about the value of what you have, at no charge of course.

Here's hoping you enjoy the site,

Don
